Senior UI/UX Designer (Contract)

We’re seeking a full-time, senior-level UI/UX designer to join our fully remote team. This role would include a three-month contract for 40 hours a week with a potential opportunity for full-time employment. Ideal candidates will have a portfolio showcasing strong visual design skills, conceptual thinking, and a thorough understanding of usability, accessibility, and responsive design. You should possess a strong background in working with distributed teams in client-facing roles. Experience & Key Attributes

• 7+ years experience as a visual/UI designer with substantial UX knowledge.
• In-depth experience designing websites and digital brand experiences at both large and small scale.
• Awareness of industry standards, trends, and best practices in both UI and UX design.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, including content writers, developers, and fellow designers.
• Good communication skills and comfortability working directly with clients.
• A positive attitude with an ability to problem-solve and adapt to new circumstances and information.
• Dissatisfaction with the status quo. You always push for better user experiences and more visually compelling work to help clients stand out from the competition.
• Experience designing visual identity systems and/or illustration skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of digital brand experiences for web, mobile, and social platforms.
• Develop wireframes and high-fidelity designs that align with the developed strategy to achieve client goals.
• Create prototypes as needed to demonstrate animations and interactions to developers and clients.
• Present work to clients while communicating underlying strategy and the effectiveness of design decisions.
• Collaborate with Development teams to bring static designs to life responsively across devices.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Figma and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and an understanding of how the web is built.
